RCMP have eleven people in custody after receiving a weapons complaint in The Pas on Friday, March 18, 2022.
Police say that around 2:30 pm they were alerted about three males who were standing outside a residence on Tremaudan Avenue in the community and flashing alleged handguns at other people in the area.
Officers went to the home and found a number of people inside. They were placed under arrest. The three males who had been seen earlier may have left before police arrived say RCMP.
A search of those in custody and of the home resulted in police finding a small amount of cocaine, cash, bear spray and a stolen firearm.
Eight adult male and three male youths were arrested. ten of them are facing a number of drug and weapon offences for their alleged involvement. Police say that officers also executed three provincial warrants as well as a Canada-wide warrant of Arrest.
All of the accused were detained in custody.
The investigation continues.
