Weapons and break-in tools found during Selkirk traffic stop

On Friday, June 5, 2020, RCMP in Selkirk made a traffic stop on a vehicle in Selkirk.

In running the plates officers learned that they had been stolen. The three people in the vehicle were arrested and officers searched the vehicle.

During the search, a number of items were found including a firearm, ammunition, zip ties, bear spray, knives, weapons, Meth and break-in tools.

RCMP have charged Curtis Duval, 29, Shyanne Hudson, 33, and Jamie Gerbrandt, 31, for their alleged involvement with more than a dozen offences including;

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2
  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon x3
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x2
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle

All three of the accused are from Winnipeg and were detained in custody pending a court appearance on Monday June 8, 2020.

RCMP continue to investigate.
