Drivers on south Osborne Street needed an amphibious vehicle after a broken water main flooded the major artery with close to a foot of water in some places.

The leak happened Friday evening and had flooded the road in both directions between Brandon Avenue and Arnold Avenue.

Several drivers took side streets to avoid the flooded area, while others continued down Osborne Street.

Police eventually shut down on the roadway as crews worked to shut off the flow of water.
