A major water main break forced the closure of northbound Pembina Highway on Saturday evening.

Around 7:30 pm the roadway between Adamar Road and Manahan Avenue started heave and flood. Police quickly blocked traffic out of a concern the road was undermined by the water and could collapse.

Traffic was initially being turned around but by 10:00pm one lane was cordoned off on the southbound lane for northbound traffic.
