Warnings and tickets continue to be issued over COVID-19 restrictions

Manitoba enforcement officers continue to warn and ticket Manitobans who are in violation of COVID-19 public health orders.

Between February 22 and 28, 160 warnings and 17 tickets were issued across the province.

Of the eight $1,296 tickets issued to individuals, seven went to people involved in gatherings in private residences or outdoors. Seven people received fines of $298 for failing to wear a mask in an indoor public place and two business were ticketed $5,000 for breaching orders.

Although ticket numbers are down week to week officers continue to enforce the public health restrictions.
