Police bust brazen criminal strolling past HQ

A 37-year-old wanted male is in custody after police spotted him walking across the street from Brandon Police Headquarters.

Police say the male suspect was seen around 7:40 pm on Saturday evening, October 5, 2019, walking south on 10th Street.

When officers approached the man he picked up the bike he was pushing and threw it at officers before attempting to run away from them.

The man was pursued and quickly arrested.

When officers searched the suspect they found he had several knives in his possession along with several baggies containing Meth. Police also found credit cards belonging to other people, digital scales and two cell phones.

The male was charged with Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking, Breach of Undertaking, Possession of Stolen Credit Cards, Resist Arrest, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and three counts of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
