WANTED | POLICE LOOKING FOR DRIVER WHO HIT BUS SHELTER AND CRITICALLY INJURED MAN

Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver of a stolen vehicle.

A youth was driving a stolen 2007 white Mazda 5 Wagon on October 25, 2016, when he swerved a collied with a bus shelter on Pembina Highway and Southpark Drive. 

A 63 year old man, in the bus shelter at the time of the collision, was critically injured. He was taken to hospital and later upgraded to stable.

The driver of the car got out briefly and made contact with the victim before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage as a result of the collision and has been recovered by police.

Police describe the suspect as  male, approximately 17-years-old, aboriginal in appearance, slim build and short dark hair. He was seen wearing dark pants, black and white t-shirt and a black wrist band.
