A 33-year-old want man was arrested on Wednesday evening, June 21, 2023.
Police say that officers saw the man at a restaurant in the 1100 block of Main Street and approached him. After confirming his identity he was taken into custody without incident.
A search of his person and personal property uncovered:
- Loaded Sawed-off .22 Calibre Semi-Automatic Rifle
- 10-round Magazine with Ammunition
- .22 Caliber rounds Ammunition x 51
- Approximately 5 Grams of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value = $750)
- Approximately 3 Grams of Crack Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $300)
- 9 Percocet Prescription Pills (Estimated Street Value = $180)
- Approximately $660 CDN Currency
- Cell Phone
Paul Joseph Duclos of Winnipeg was charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order, Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, and Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2. He was also processed on a Warrant for Fail to Comply with Probation Order x3.
He was detained in custody.
