Winnipeg Police are investigating a series of three fires Thursday evening, August 20, 2020, in three different Walmart stores.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the first fire at the Empress Avenue store around 6:07 pm. When crews arrived hand-held extinguishers were being used on the fire. Firefighters took over and finished putting out the fire.

Just over an hour later, around 7:19 pm, the Walmart on Regent Avenue West reported a fire. Crews quickly put the fire out with fire extinguishers.

The third fire call came in around 8:49 pm. This time the fire was at the McPhillips Street store. By the time crews arrived the fire had already been extinguished.

All three fires are considered suspicious. No injuries were reported.
