If you have an interest in gardening or preserving our living prairie then the Living Prairie Museum has an opportunity for you during the next few weeks.
Currently, the museum is looking for volunteers to help collect native seeds in some of Winnipeg’s prairie habitats.
Volunteers will learn about the efforts to conserve the diversity of prairie landscapes and will also learn how to harvest seeds in a sustainable manner.
The Living Prairie Museum say that some of the seeds collected can be kept by the volunteer.
In order to participate in harvesting seeds, you will have to register with the Living Prairie Museum
You can call them at 204-832-0167 or register during one of their registration events during September.
