Vigil held for shooting victim Wade Donkey

About 50 people gathered Thursday evening, November 19, 2020, to honour the life of 18-year-old Wade Donkey who was shot and killed on Monday afternoon.

Mourners held candles and left notes of condolences in memory of Wade.

Donkey was outside a convenience store on Isabel Street at Elgin Avenue around 1:50 pm when he was shot. Emergency crews responded and transported Donkey to hospital in critical condition where he died soon afterwards.

On Wednesday evening Tracy Lynn who had witnessed the shooting explained what she saw and did in the aftermath.

Donkey’s mother, Lisa Moore, said on Wednesday “Their going to catch you and I want justice for him” as she spoke on video posted to social media.
