Fire crews responded after a Victor Street vacant house goes up in flames early Monday morning, February 13, 2023.
Firefighters responded at 5:28 am and found heavy smoke coming from the structure. An initial defensive attack from outside the building soon transitioned to an offensive attack inside once it was safe for firefighters to enter. The blaze was brought under control at 6:18 am.
The building was ordered demolished due to its structural instability and to ensure the emergency crews could access the remaining small areas of fire within.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Crews had responded to a previous fire at the same address on January 22, 2023.
