An adult female is in hospital in critical condition after being assaulted Thursday morning, August 13, 2020.

Police say that they responded to the area of Higgins Avenue and Main Street around 12:40 am. Officers located the victim in the green space at the northeast corner across from Thunderbird House

The victim remains in critical condition.

Anyone who may have been in the area of Higgins and Main Street in the late evening or early morning of August 12 – 13 is asked to contact investigators with the Major Crimes Unit at (204) 986-6219.
