Winnipeg police have arrested a 35-year-old male in connection to human remains found on Edison Avenue on May 16, 2022.
Homicide detectives were able to identify the victim as 24-year-old Rebecca Contois.
Investigators also quickly identified the suspect in this case and executed a search warrant on his residence located in the area Contour’s partial remains were located. Police are also searching Brady Road Landfill as the investigation continues.
Jeremy Anthony Micheal Skibicki was charged for his alleged involvement with First Degree Murder. He was detained in custody.
Investigators say that the investigation leads them to believe that additional victims are possible in this case.
