Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit investigators have identified the victim in a homicide on Magnus Avenue early Thursday morning, February 15, 2024.
Police say that several suspects forced their way into the suite of the victim, confronted him then fatally shot him.
The victim has been identified as26-year-old Mitchell Michael Hanslip of Lake Manitoba First Nation, living in Winnipeg.
Thre suspects were seen fleeing the residence as officers arrived on the scene. All three suspects were taken into custody.
Police have charge the three suspects for their alleged involvement with:
Isaiah Adrian Moose, 23
- Second Degree Murder
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order x 2
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of Firearm Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
Sydney Vain Moose, 22
- Second Degree Murder
- Possession of Firearm Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
Ashtan Cole Peters, 28
- Second Degree Murder
- Possession of Firearm Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 4
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
All of the accused were detained in custody.
