Victim identified in fatal shooting at Windsor Hotel

Winnipeg Police have identified the victim who died following a shooting at the Windsor Hotel on Garry Street Sunday morning, January 13, 2020.

Police say they were called to the hotel just before 3:30 am for reports of shots fired.

Three male victims were found and taken to hospital in critical condition.

20-year-old Yassin Abdu Ahmed died from the injuries he sustained shortly after arriving in hospital.

Police spent much of the afternoon Sunday in the parking lot beside the Windsor Hotel as they investigated the shooting of three men. (News 4)

The killing of Ahmed is the second homicide so far in 2020.

Police continue to investigate but have not arrested anyone in connection to the shootings.
