Minutes before 11:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020, patrol officers were flagged down and told a male had been assaulted in the parking lot of a hotel in the 100 block of Higgins Avenue.

Police located the victim suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics in critical condition but did not survive his injuries.

Homicide investigators have identified the victim as 29-year-old Joshua Robert Jeromiah Hansen.
