Winnipeg Police are investigating a homicide after a 27-year-old male was assaulted at The Forks and subsequently died.

Police were called to the parkade at The Forks just after 10:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 for the report of an assault. When officers arrived they found the victim and immediately provided emergency medical care. The male was taken to hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Kyle James Craik of Winnipeg.
