Two separate vehicle rollovers claimed the lives of two males early Sunday morning, November 4, 2018.
Police say that just before 1:30 am police arrived on the scene of a semi-truck rollover on Highway 1 near Portage la Prairie. The 67-year-old male driver had been partially ejected from the vehicle as it rolled. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that the truck had just crossed over a bridge heading westbound when it went into the median ditch and rolled.
The second incident happened around 7:15 am at the intersection of Murdoch Road and the Perimeter Highway.
Police say that the vehicle was southbound on Murdoch Road and did not make a turn causing the vehicle to cross all four lanes of the Perimeter. The vehicle then rolled and the 33-year-old male driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. Police say his body was found more than 180 metres away from the overturned vehicle.
Both fatal collisions are under investigation
