One dead, one injured in early morning collision

RCMP are investigating the cause of a single-vehicle collision that claimed the life of a 41-year-old Treherne man and sent a second man to hospital.

Police say the vehicle was involved in a rollover on Highway 245 just east of mile 43 in the RM of Lorne. The vehicle was eastbound when it suddenly went off the road and rolled several times ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt around 4:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 26-year-old passenger was wearing his seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries.

RCMP from Manitou and a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
