On Thursday, May 13, 2021, the Manitoba government committed to reducing non-commercial vehicle registration fees on July 1.
For the second year in a row fees are being reduced by 10 per cent bringing the annual fee to $129 for most cars, SUVs and light trucks.
Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler said the reduction is part of an effort to reverse a 30 per cent increase in 2012. This years reduction brings the total to 20 per cent and the minister said the government is committed to an additional 10 per cent reduction in 2022.
