Four men facing criminal charges

In the early hours of March 23, 2017 Winnipeg Police officers on patrol near Charles Street and Aikins Avenue area spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver had a different idea and chose to flee. Police initiated a pursuit.

Police chased the suspect vehicle to the 1900 block of Portage Avenue westbound where the vehicle lost control and slammed into a building coming to a stop. The four men inside bailed and took off on foot. 

Officers captured all four of the men a short distance away with the help of a K-9 unit.

In searching the vehicle police found two loaded guns.

Police continue to investigate and all four suspects will be facing criminal charges in relation to the incident.
