A Vancouver man may be regretting his driving habits after police spotted him speeding in the West End of the city on Sunday morning, October 7, 2018.
According to officers, they noticed a suspicious vehicle that was driving at a “high rate of speed”. While officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle the suspect driver committed several other driving infractions.
The vehicle was stopped on Beverley Street and the suspect was taken into custody after officers saw a 6″ knife lying on the seat next to him.
A search found several bags containing various amounts of methamphetamine with a combined street value of about $1,500
The 43-year-old male from Vancouver, British Columbia was charged with Possession of a weapon and Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
He remains in custody.
