One man was sent to hospital and another arrested for Aggravated Assault after a house party on Friday, February 14, 2020.
Police say the victim and accused were both at a residence on Maryland Street along with other people when they got into a physical fight. At some time during the altercation, the accused got a knife and attacked the victim with it causing multiple injuries.
The victim was able to escape the apartment and get help from a nearby business who called emergency crews.
When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from several injuries to his upper body and in medical distress.
The victim was taken to hospital and is currently still there receiving treatment.
24-year-old Brandon Hunter was arrested and is facing charges for his alleged involvement of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon.
Hunter was detained in custody.
