Winnipeg firefighters were called to a blaze in a two-storey house on Furby Street at 9:47 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Smoke and flames greeted the emergency workers as they arrived on the scene. An interior attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 10:16 pm.
A search of the structure found no one inside. No injuries were reported.
The house had suffered previous damage in a fire on June 17, 2023. Due to the structural integrity of the building being compromised an emergency demolition of the building was ordered.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
