Vacant apartment building on Isabel Street goes up in flames

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to a structure fire in a vacant two-storey Isabel Street apartment building around 2:30 am Wednesday morning, October 21, 2020.

As firefighters arrived they were greeted with flames and smoke coming from the building.

Crews launched an offensive attack but were force to move out of the structure and transition to a defensive attack as conditions deteriorated.

An aerial ladder was set up to attack the fire from above.

The fire was declared under control just minutes after 4:00 am.
