UPDATE – MARYLAND FIRE

 

Investigators have released more information about the fire early Saturday morning at Maryland and Westminster. Estimate of the damage is now pegged at $4.5 million. The six injured in the blaze, four firefighters and two residents, have all been treated for their injuries and released.

The exact cause of the fire is still being investigated, although arson is suspected, by the Fire Service Investigations Branch, and the Winnipeg Police Arson Unit. Witnesses have reported that two suspects were seen in the area shortly before the fire broke out at approximately 3:30 a.m
