As News4 told you on Wednesday – Around 8 am September 7, 2016 police, fire and ambulance crews responded to the report of a vehicle accident involving a male on a bike and a dump truck at the Perimeter and ST. Anne’s Road.
The bicyclist, who died of his injuries, has been identified as Michael Larry Slobodian, 45.
Police continue to investigate but as of now believe that Slobodan was riding his bike westbound on the Perimeter approach St. Anne’s Rd. At the same time, a Mack truck, also travelling west came to a stop at a red light.
When the light turned green, the truck made a right turn at which time the collision occurred.
Charges to the driver have not been ruled out and will be determined once the investigation is complete.
Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact investigators at 204-986-6271.
