UPDATE – Assault with a Skateboard

In a story News4 brought you last week, police have arrested 24 year old Justin James Crowe for his alleged involvement in an attack on a 63 year old man in a bus shelter on Portage Avenue.

The victim requested that the suspect stop smoking or exit the bus shelter. The suspect responded by knocking the victim to the ground and continued to assault him in the upper body. The male then armed himself with a skateboard and proceeded to strike the victim several times.

The victim sustained multiple injuries requiring medical attention.

With the support of the public the suspect was identified and arrested in a  residence in Westdale.

Crowe has been charged with: Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon,  Fail to Comply Condition of Recognizance x 3
