A ‘Do Not Consume’ advisory has been issued for the Town of Victoria Beach’s drinking water system says the province.
The medical officer of health and Manitoba Sustainable Development say that the water system has been compromised.
According to officials, an unauthorized chemical was added to the treatment process resulting in low levels of chlorine in the water and safety of the water cannot be assured.
Residents are being notified and the ‘do not consume’ order will remain in place until the water is safe to drink.
