Unprovoked attack at bus stop sends one male to hospital

A 55-year-old male was assaulted in an unprovoked attack at a Notre Dame Avenue bus stop.

According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the victim was at the transit stop around 11:00 pm on June 9, 2022, near Notre Dame Avenue and Arlington Street when a 26-year-old male attacked him out of the blue. Police say the pair did not know each other prior to the attack.

The victim suffered multiple injures that required medical attention. He was taken to hospital, treated, then released,

Police have charged Nathaniel Aaron Pittman for his alleged involvement with Assault Cause Bodily harm.

He was detained in custody.
