Due to the fire occurring in a high-rise apartment building a second alarm was ordered to increase the number of crew and equipment on-scene.

A fire was located in an east tower suite. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 7:53 pm.

Officials say that the fire was contained to the suite of origin but some other suites and hallways suffered water damage.

Two people were assessed by paramedics on-scene and transported to hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
