Unattended cooking has been identified as the cause for an afternoon fire on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the blaze just after 3:00 pm in a single-family bungalow on Garwood Avenue.
When crews arrived they found thick smoke coming from the house.
An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control within 20 minutes.
Everyone inside the home was able to exit before crews arrived on scene. No injuries were reported.
