Ultralight aircraft crashes into hydro lines

Steinbach’s fire department was called to a home about 2 miles east of Blumenort after an ultralight aircraft crashed into the top of a tree as well as a hydro pole. Blumenort is about 55 kilometres east of Winnipeg

According to Steinbach Deputy Fire Chief Ron Chausse they were called to the residence around 10:15 am. Hydro crews de-energized the hydro lines so firefighters could unharness the pilot.
