RCMP are searching for a 27-year-old murder suspect who entered Canada illegally sometime during the last week of June 2019.
Police say that Derek Whisenand is wanted in Texas for murder. He also has an arrest warrant in Canada.
Whisenand crossed into Manitoba with his dog near Haskett say RCMP.
He is described as 6’ tall, 230 lbs with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen with a black goatee.
His dog is a large mixed breed, possibly a mix of a German Shepard and pit bull or boxer, brindle in color.
Police warn that Whisenand may be armed and is considered dangerous. He is not to be approached.
Police believe that he may be in the Winnipeg area or possibly in eastern Canada.
