TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE ARSONS

 

 

No major damage caused in fire spree

 

 

 

 

Two male youths have been charged with a number of arson related offences after the pair set multiple fires over the weekend.

Winnipeg Police say that the youths are allegedly linked to  a fire on May 12, 2017 just after 1:00 am in the 600 block of Magnus Avenue. The pair had set a garbage and recycling bin on fire. No serious damage was caused.

Later that day, around 9:30 pm, a fire was started in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue on the 3rd floor of the building.

On May 14 two fires at two different locations were set. The first happened around 4:30 pm to a trailer in the lane of the 700 block of Burrows Avenue.

The second happened one hour later to a play structure in a school yard  in the 800 block of Selkirk Avenue

Damage in all of the fires was not extensive but there is no estimate to the cost.

No one was hurt.
