Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision between a jeep and a taxi around 9:53 pm on Notre Dame Avenue at Midland Street.
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage in the crash.
The driver of the taxi was injured. He was assessed by paramedics at the scene and then transported to the hospital in unknown condition. The people in the other vehicle were not physically injured.
Notre Dame Avenue was closed in both directions around the collision scene while police investigated and the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway.
