Two unrelated homicides two hours apart under investigation say Winnipeg Police Service (WPS).
Main Street / Selkirk Avenue
Around 10:00 pm on February 1, 2023, a man walked into a hotel in the 800 block of Main Street looking for help after he had been stabbed. The was taken to hospital in critical condition but later upgraded to stabe. The male also reported that there may be another victim at an apartment on Selkirk Avenue.
Officers went to the apartment in the 100 block and found a deceased man. The deceased victim was identified as 40-year-old Lee James Boulette.

Henry Avenue
Two hours later at approximately 12:00 am on February 2, 2023, officers were flagged down near Martha Street and Henry Avenue and told about a man on the ground bleeding in the first 100 block of Henry Avenue.
Officers found the male unresponsive and suffering from apparent stab wounds. Police provided CPR until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but did not survive his injuries.
The victim was identified as 56-year-old Clifford Earl Bos.
Police located a suspect in the 100 block of Disraeli, took him into custody and turned him over to investigators from the Major Crimes Unit.
25-year-old Joseph Diamond Sanderson was charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.
Police say that although the investigation is continuing they do not anticipate any further arrests.
