Two teens arrested after man stabbed several times at beer vendor

Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit have arrested two 17-year-old male teens in connection to a stabbing at a Maryland Avenue beer vendor on Thursday evening, August 13, 2020.

Police say that the teens allegedly stabbed the male victim several times for unknown reasons. The victim and the teens did not know each other say investigators.

The victim was was located soon after the incident at Health Sciences Centre after being admitted in critical condition.

Both accused were arrested on Friday, August 14, 2020. One of the suspects was in possession of a knife at the time of his arrest.

One suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Possession of a Weapon, Two counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition and eight counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence.

The other suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault and two counts of Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.

Both teens were detained in custody.
