Winnipeg firefighters battled two separate fires on Young Street Saturday night between Broadway and Portage Avenue.
Just before 11:00 pm emergency crews got a call about a two story home on fire. The fire was contained to the suite on the main floor. No injuries were reported.
Minutes later, while crews were still on the scene a second fire broke out just up the street.
According to fire officials, the second fire started in a pile of clothes in the basement of the structure
Firefighters had their hands full battling two fires that broke out less than an hour apart in the same block of Young Street Saturday night.
No one was hurt in that fire either.
Investigators are looking into the cause of both fires that at first appearances seem suspicious in nature.
No estimate of the cost of damages caused to either home is available
