Two suspects facing charges after being spotted in stolen vehicle

Winnipeg Police Service has two people in custody after members of the Guns and Gans unit spotted a stolen vehicle in Southeast Winnipeg.

When the male driver spotted police he bolted from the vehicle on foot in an attempt to get away. The female passenger remained in the vehicle and was arrested.

Officers chased the male suspect and apprehended him a short distance away.

A search located a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition, Methanphetamine (6 grams), $700 in cash, a number of cellular devices and scales used in the drug trade. Officers also found a number of what they describe as fraudulent identification documents.

Lawrence Herve Chevrefils, 40 and Felisha Anna Spence, 32 both face a number of firearms, drugs and property-related offences for their alleged involvement.
