Motorcycle crash & SUV rollover

Just before 10:00 pm Thursday night a 60 year old man driving a motorcycle crashed at Raleigh St. and Edison Avenue.

The man suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital. He has since died of his injuries

Police spent more than 7 hours processing the accident scene with the road closed until about 5:00 am Friday morning.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation although police believe the motorcycle was travelling northbound when it crossed Edison and struck a ditch.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to call investigators at 204-986-7085.

Another crash Friday morning had traffic snarled in the northbound lanes of Main Street at Selkirk Ave.. Around 7:00 am two vehicles crashed into each other causing an SUVs to roll over onto it’s roof.

Police are still investigating. No word on injuries.
