Winnipeg Police Service is investigating a double stabbing that occurred late Sunday night, May 22, 2022, in the area of Powers Street and Flora Avenue.
Around 11:15 pm emergency crews descended on the area and found one victim outside Niji Makhwa School on Flora Avenue and another around the corner outside a home on Powers Street.
One of the victims, who had been stabbed in the neck, could be heard saying “I tasted blood and I thought I was dead.”

Both victims were transported to hospital in unknown condition.
Police continue to investigate.
