42 charges laid between the suspects
Winnipeg Police have arrested two suspects after it was alleged that the pair robbed two men after the vicyims went to a home in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue in the early morning hours of June 29, 2017. The pair assaulted and robbed a 25 year old male and then forced the victim and another 18 year old male into a van at gunpoint. The victims were driven to Springfield Road and Highway 207 where they were released. The 25 year old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated.
Police found the suspects in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue around 11:00 pm the night of the abduction and arrested Brooke Cameron-Daniels.
The second suspect, Trevor Thomas Chief took off but was arrested on July 4, 2017 after leading police on a brief foot-chase. Police also recovered a sawed-off rifle when they arrested Chief.
Chief is facing 28 charges and Cameron-Daniels is facing 14 charges for their alleged involvement.

– Kidnapping x 2
– Carry Concealed Weapon x 2
– Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
– Tampering with Serial Number
– Warrant of Arrest x 2
– Fail to Comply Probation
– Fail to Comply Recognizance x 6
Brooke CAMERON-DANIELS has been charged with the following offences:
– Possess Prohibited Weapon
– Possess Goods Obtained by Crime Under $5000
– Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x 2
– Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
– Robbery with a Firearm x 2
– Use Firearm in the Commission of Offence
– Kidnapping x 2
– Carry Concealed Weapon
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
– Tampering with Serial Number
Both accused have been detained in custody.
