TWO MORE PEOPLE CHARGED IN SUMNER HOMICIDE

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged two more people in connection to the homicide of  27 year old William George Sumner.

Sumner had been found by police in the front yard of a home in the 600 block of Prichard Avenue on June 18, 2017. He had been shot.

On June 22, 2017 officers arrested 32 year old  Cameron Bounthieng Kinnavanthong and charged him with attempted murder and a number of firearms offences for his alleged involvement.

On June 29, 2017, two more arrests were made in the case. 

33 year old Gena Lester Joseph Malcolm and 28 year old Jonathan Erin Catcheway were charged with manslaughter for their alleged involvement.

Catcheway was also charged with fail to comply with probation order

Police continue to investigate this case.
