Both men taken to hospital in stable condition
Winnipeg Police responded to the report of a man having been shot in the area of Main Street and Dufferin Avenue around 1:45 am Sunday March 26, 2017. When police arrived on the scene they found a 30 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. The man was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Fifteen minutes later police responded to another call of shots fired. This time it was in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue. Just after 2:00 am a 25 year old male was found again suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand. He was transported to hospital in stable condition.
Winnipeg Police have not said if the incidents are related or how many shooters they are looking for.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating both cases.
