A 28-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked two men in their 30s near Portage Avenue and Smith Street.

The incidents happened early Friday evening, March 10, 2023. Police say a male was shopping in a store on Portage Avenue when he was confronted by an unknown man with a knife. The victim was stabbed and the suspect fled. A few minutes later a second victim was walking eastbound when he was confronted by the same suspect. The victim and suspect spoke for a moment then the victim was stabbed.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

The suspect was located near Portage Avenue and Gary Street. It is believed by police that the suspect was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

Julius Kincaid Kilbourne has been charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Aggravated Assault and possession of a weapon.
