Two men arrested after knocking over businesses and a community centre

Winnipeg police have two men in custody after investigators linked them to a series of break & enters to two businesses and a community centre.

The break & enters and thefts happened between February and May 2023, with more than $32,000 worth of property taken. The suspects allegedly stole tool and equipment,and ATV and trailer and a number of other items from a storage facility.

Joseph Desmond Hoebee, 29, of Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Break Enter & Theft x 5
  • Possession of Break In Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Nicolas Ronald Hoebee, 25, of Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Break Enter & Theft x 5
  • Possession of Break In Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

They were detained in custody.
