Two males have been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possess Weapon after they allegedly attacked an elderly male near Selkirk Avenue and Parr Street.
Police say that officers were told the victim had been attacked by several males, one armed with a machete.
The victim suffered sever facial trauma. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
The suspects were located at a nearby home with help from Air-1 and a K-9 unit.
20-year-old Zachias Bob Thunder Black and a 16-year-old male were arrested in the home and charged.
