Two in custody after carjacking and home invasions

Winnipeg Police have arrested two men in connection to a carjacking and two home invasions on Monday July 13, 2020.

Police say that approximately 3:30 pm a 52-year-old male and his 17-year-old daughter were on their way to their vehicle near Rue Despins and Rue Jeanne dArc in St. Boniface when they were confronted and their vehicle taken. One of the suspects threatened to shoot the male during the robbery according to police accounts.

While the carjackers were fleeing the area they collided with another car.

Around 5:00 pm the suspect then went to an apartment building in the 400 block of Maryland Street where they forced their way into to suites. Three male victims were robbed at gunpoint during the home invasion.
